Early History
Mr Urquhart is the proprietor and director of APM Ltd established in April 1992. The first pest management job Iain had was working for the Environmental Health Department at Stafford Borough Council in the May of 1973 as a Rodent Operative. In September 1978, Mr Urquhart was recruited by Ciba-Geigy in Saudi Arabia to look after their interests in the Jeddah Harbour looking after their rodent problems. However, upon arriving in Riyadh he was retained to look after their Pest Control Team as the Operations Manager and remained in Riyadh for the next seven years.
History of Advanced Pest Management
On his return to the UK, Mr Urquhart went into business with two of his friends that had worked with him in Riyadh. Their new pest control business started in the July of 1986 and Iain remained one of the partners until he went his own way starting APM (Advanced Pest Management) in April 1992. With over 40 years of pest management experience, Iain believes his team of pest control officers is well placed in providing the best possible integrated pest management service to all our existing customers. Many have been with us for over two decades. We have always been, and will always continue to be committed to a provision of a high quality with a high value for money service to all our customers. The company also believes strongly in the ethos of fairness in all business dealings.
Basis Prompt Pest Controllers Register
Additionally, the Basis Prompt Pest Controllers register is an industry initiative which provides independent proof that a pest controller has received proper professional training and has continued to update their expertise through Continuing Professional Development (CPD). As registration has to be renewed each year, members of the register will always be aware of the most up-to-date techniques, products and legal obligations. All pest control officers on our team are current members of the register.
